Zoological Society 1901

The New York Zoological Society was founded in 1896 to promote instruction through a zoological park (more popularly known as the Bronx Zoo), research and publications, and the protection of native animals. This 1901 illustrated report documents the early work of the society, including the success of "flying cages" at the park and illustrations of giant tortoises. A donation will support the preservation of this item and repair to the damaged binding.
