Gravesend Fishery Case Records, 1644-1843

The Fishery Case involved a dispute over land rights between the inhabitants of Gravesend and certain property owners stretching from 1643-1843. The early case records are particularly fragile. Conservation treatment will remove acidic "silking" of the records and reduce the acidity of the paper, extending its usable life.
